If you get the Warcaster Feat, you can ignore somantic components when having both hands holding weapons and/or shields. If you don't have the feat, you need a free hand for somantic components. WebDo note, only classes that specifically say you can use a Holy Symbol as a spellcasting focus allow you them to use it. Similarly, only classes that specify that you can use an Arcane focus can actually use it. As far as I know, only Clerics and Paladins can do it (but they are the only divine casters).
